College Football Week 13 Preview: Getting Lucky

Michigan Football looks to make Week 13 Lucky, SFBatKid sweeps the nation, a classic Seinfeld rant and an Astronaut takes an out of this world Selfie.

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Does anyone remember what winning feels like? For Michigan fans, it seems like it goes back to the days of Bo and Lloyd for some good news.

It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but Michigan is back on the winning side of things. After shooting themselves in the foot over and over again on the road at Penn State weeks ago and falling in overtime, Michigan showed a lot of grit with it's latest victory.

The best part about last week was seeing Michigan run the ball effectively.

Say it with me: POSITIVE YARDAGE! POSITIVE YARDAGE!

It's a bit of a relief and makes one feel like George Costanza's father on Seinfeld:

SEINFELD

The coming out party for Derrick Green and De'Veon Smith was a welcome sight for the running game. As tough as Fitz can be, the fact is that he isn't getting the job done this season. That could be the fault of the offensive line but at the end of the day, Fitz can't pass protect and the time for change was long overdue.

Green and Smith carried the load for the Wolverines and put forth a pretty solid performance.

On to the next one...

Michigan will head back out on the road for it's last road game for the 2013 season. The Wolverines will play an underwhelming Iowa team but the home-field advantage is still a tough task.

Iowa is never a place that's easy to walk away with a win because of how good the coaching is.

Michigan will have to play smart and sound football. The rushing game will need to be involved and the usage of Green and Smith shouldn't be marginalized for the sake of seniority aka Fitz.

Michigan needs to have some momentum going into it's rivalry showdown with Ohio in a couple of weeks and it's crucial for Team 134 to keep the ball rolling.

GO BLUE!

SF BAT KID

Before you tune into the solid slate of games this Saturday, take a minute and look at the worldwide sensation that is SF Bat Kid.

If you have or haven't seen the adorable child, it's watching time and time again.

WEEK 13 SEE-IT-TO-BELIEVE-IT

If you need a new t-shirt to wear for College Football Saturdays, we've got something to put on your holiday shopping list.

Michigan State has all but locked up a trip to Indianapolis to face off against Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship. If MSU can win this game, it will become official.

This may be just the kind of game you flip over to when the Wolverines are on commercial or you may have it set up to play on your iPad. Either way, the Spartans are here to stay.

This game could make or break moment to take home the Heisman for a second straight season.

If Johnny Football didn't have such a rough summer across national headlines, he would be running away with his second straight Heisman Trophy. The voters didn't love all of the attention that Manziel got from the Heisman last year and it may sway some voters elsewhere.

Simply put, Manziel is the best player in college football and out of this world.

Speaking of out of this world...

'College Gameday' is on campus for the game that may be first to score 50 wins. *

Baylor survived a first-half scare against Texas Tech last week and kept on trucking. Baylor is rolling and riding high into a primetime game that could push them up in the BCS standings.

Things couldn't get much better for the Baylor Coach these days.

Money talks.
