Michigan gots official word on the Big H-back/FB/(DE?) from Detroit Catholic Central earlier this morning.

Shallman could be a big factor in replacing Hopkins.

Wyatt Shallman
6'3 / 245lbs.
Rivals: 4-star; 5.8
Scout: 4-star
247: 4-star; 90

Shallman pledged for the Wolverines as part of that wonderful February weekend almost a year ago where Michigan received pledges from nearly a third of its eventual class. Shallman committed as a running back, but his future is either as an offensive utility player that lines up everywhere from FB to H-back to TE, or as a defensive lineman.

However, he was recruited to play offense, and given some of the other players Michigan has brought in, he isn't out of place on the offensive side of the ball. With Michigan still thin at places on offense, Shallman could see time early if he can provide a solid blocking presence.
