Maurice Hurst Jr.
6'2 / 305lbs.
Rivals: 3-star; 5.7
Scout: 4-star

Maurice Hurst Jr. enters Michigan as an intriguing prospect. He has the prototypical size to slot into the middle of Michigan's defense at the one-tech spot; Hurst Jr. is big enough at over 300lbs. and stout enough at 6'2 to hold up at the center of the defense. However, he was also a running back at times for his highschool team, and possesses above average athleticism for a kid his size.

He will most likely redshirt this coming year, but with Quinton Washington departing, there will be a need for big-bodied backups at the center of Michigan's defense in 2014.
