The Wolverines and Jayhawks will play second in the opening round of games Friday, with Oregon-Louisville tipping off about 20 minutes before. Both the Wolverines and the Jayhawks are in Kenpom's composite top ten rankings, with the Wolverines currently sitting eighth and the Jayhawks ninth.
Michigan is one of four Big Ten teams (Michigan State, Ohio State, and Indiana) that made it through to the Sweet Sixteen, keeping the hope alive that the Big Ten could fill the final four. Michigan State has the toughest road with Duke Friday and a most likely Louisville Sunday. Indiana has to deal with Syracuse then possibly the winner of Miami-Marquette. OSU gets the easiest road. The highest seed left in the Buckeye's bracket is Arizona at six.
