Southfield DE Lawrence Marshall commits to Michigan.
— Tim Sullivan (@TimS_Wolverine) May 11, 2013
Just get them on campus.
Michigan again pulls a bit of a recruiting coup, pulling in Southfield MI DE Lawrence Marshall just as everyone had pretty much conceded him to Michigan State. Currently standing around 6'3 - 6'4 and weighing 225lbs, Marshall had been getting interest from a number of solid programs including Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and presumed leader Michigan State. Marshall had previously committed to Ohio State, but rescinded that shortly thereafter and reopened his recruitment.
He was long thought to be an MSU lock, but he had made enough trips to Michigan that the door was still open. WIth his recruitment winding down, this was to be the weekend he would commit to the Wolverines if it was going to happen. To the surprise of many, it did.
Michigan's defensive line recruiting is basically in a hold now, waiting on commitments from two five-stars.
Everything's coming up Milhouse.
More from the recruiting team later.
