Friday Michigan Football Recruiting Roundup Goes All In

FRR updates you on the very latest Michigan football recruiting rumblings. Who is Jabrill Peppers recruiting for Michigan? Is there a real chance the Wolverines land the nation's top two corners? That and more.

Peppers Wants Them All

Michigan's newest commitment, five-star cornerback Jabrill Peppers, would like to add a few more five-star talents to his team's roster. Those players? Monster defensive end Da'Shawn Hand, hulking running back Leonard Fournette and super fast corner Adoree Jackson. Fournette is a pipe dream and a half, but it looks like Michigan is moving up Jackson's list:

Extremely scary.

So, yea, he's intrigued by the thought of pairing up with another elite corner. I'm intrigued as well.

Wide receiver commitment Drake Harris is getting in on the action, too:

What's the best case with all of these five-stars? First, Michigan keeps itself in the race for Da'Shawn Hand until the end. This is definitely going to happen and could easily end with a commitment to Michigan; most pundits have the Wolverines in a dead heat with Virginia Tech right now, and that was after most of them considered the Hokies to be the favorite. Second, Adoree Jackson keeps Michigan on his short list and visits sometime before his senior season starts. It looks like he wants to make a summer decision, so getting him on campus as soon as possible with Michigan's other commitments is key. Lastly, just stay in contact with Fournette and hope that his communication with Peppers somehow turns into a visit. This is highly unlikely right now, but anything can happen when you have as much momentum as Michigan does right now.

What's the worst case? Michigan loses a long battle with Virginia Tech for Hand, Jackson never shows up for a visit and Fournette never so much as gives Michigan a chance. I won't tell you that Hand is going to be blue, but I will say I'm fairly confident in Michigan's chances of getting Jackson on campus for a visit.

Michigan Offers 2015 Cornerback

The staff has extended an offer to 2015 California corner Iman Marshall. Marshall is a decent sized corner prospect with good to great closing speed; he should be a four-star across the board when his cycle comes around.

Luring Marshall to Ann Arbor won't be easy: he already holds offers from the likes of California, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Washington and many others. His combination of size, speed and awareness will make him one of the top overall corners in his class.

General Notes and Multimedia Items

Rumors of a Chase Winovich commitment to Pitt surfaced over the week. Those rumors were false:

I've changed my prediction (truck/van make up your mind!) for Winovich from Michigan to Ohio State, for what it's worth. He could pull the trigger this weekend if he does indeed visit the Buckeyes.

Da'Shawn Hand will be taking a visit to Ohio State this weekend:

I personally guarantee that Hand won't end up in Columbus; it's generous to even call his stop to Ohio a 'visit'.

Four-star defensive end and Michigan target Andrew Williams will be cutting his list down to a mere ten schools soon, and it looks like the Wolverines will be positioned somewhere in his top five. The battle for the talented youngster will be heated, but Greg Mattison has been on him for months now, giving Michigan a better chance than I had once anticipated. This gives Michigan three truly elite options between Hand, McDowell and Williams.

Fred Jackson was at Detroit Martin Luther King yesterday:

Embry has little to no chance of receiving an offer from Michigan, but Tyriq Thompson is a 2015 eye to keep an eye on. The young man could play safety but is looking more and more like a linebacker prospect.

Our very own DGDestroys is helping out with the site's Big Ten Preview by reviewing each team's 2013 recruiting class. He just went over Iowa's class, and you should check it out -- you'll thank us when you see these prospects on the field years down the road.

Finally, Drake Harris tells a creepy old Spartan fan to get a life:

Once again, don't ever contact recruits. It's a bad idea, and you might just end up being retweeted for all the wrong reasons.
