Michigan target 2014 defensive end Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Va.) participates in the Columbus Nike Training Camp this Sunday at Ohio State. According to ESPN RecruitingNation, it is unsure if he will take an unofficial visit while camping.
"Honestly, I know it sounds like I’m not trying to say anything, but I really don’t know," Hand told RecruitingNation on Tuesday. "I know we’re supposed to be up there either Friday or Saturday."
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound five-star end does not have OSU among his top five, but he did visit Columbus last November.
Regardless if Hand unofficially visits with the OSU coaching staff this weekend or not, it should not affect Michigan’s standing with him. He will have plenty of time to schmooze with Urban Meyer, and if he does, that will not be made known until late Sunday or early Monday.
Hand holds offers from several BCS powers, including Michigan, and visits Ann Arbor on Sept. 9.
Several analysts reported Michigan’s chances of landing Hand improved when the Wolverines signed five-star defensive back Jabrill Peppers on Sunday.
