There Are 66 Days to Michigan Football

Waiting for the opening Saturday of college football is agonizing. All we want is 13 weeks of Brent Musberger "pardner" one-liners, the buzz of Michigan Stadium in late November, and jokes about the Bowl Championship Series. Fear not, bleary-eyed traveler. This is a continuing series intended to get through the long, hot summer and back to the glory of football season.

No grand anniversary or tribute to a legendary player today. Instead, reminisce about one of the better halftime shows the beloved Michigan Marching Band (as Bob Ufer called them "235 well-drilled, well-disciplined Meechigan Bandsmen) has ever performed. There was a video game-themed show a few seasons ago that might beat out a Monty Python show, but it's hard to tell which of the two confused the older alumni in the crowd more.
