Update: Trey Burke traded to Utah

Burke is on the move shortly after going ninth to Minnesota. The Utah Jazz stand as the destination.

Minnesota took Burke, but it didn't feel like that would stick. The Timberwolves have point guard options and David Kahn is gone.

So, of course a trade was in the works. Trey Burke will be a Jazz? Jazz player? Whatever, he is playing in Utah.

This makes a certain amount of sense. The Jazz look to be in the market for a point guard with Mo Williams entering unrestricted free agency after making 8.5 million last year. Williams is a 10 year NBA vet. Past Williams, Utah has a few other PG options on the roster. Earl Watson and Jamaal Tinsley are both old (35 and 34) and Randy Foye and Alec Burks are also there.

There is definitely room for Burke to come in and challenge for a starting spot.

With Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, and Gordon Hayward, there is some young talent on the team, and Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap are both still around.

The Jazz are giving up the 14th and 21st pick to get Trey.

Again, we will have more coverage coming.

(I'm getting this from ESPN's roster page. I don't follow Utah basketball, so these things could be changing/changed given free agency right around the corner. I make no guarantees.)
