It wasn't always certain that Hardaway Jr. would go in the first round. In fact, there was a time even a second round selection wasn't guaranteed. But Tim has realized his draft dream, and will be a New York Knick this year.
Hardaway Jr. has the size and skills to be an impactful NBA player, but he hasn't shown the consistency yet that many would like. It is an interesting pickup for the Knicks, ditto for how Hardaway Jr. fits.
With that, Michigan has had two first round picks in the same year. Burke and Hardaway Jr. are in good company on that one:
Multiple 1st Rd. selections have occurred twice: 1990 (Rumeal Robinson, Loy Vaught, Terry Mills) & 1994 (Juan Howard, Jalen Rose) #NBADraft
