Michigan wide receiver Jeremy Gallon earned 2013 preseason watch list honors Tuesday – the award presented to the nation’s outstanding college receiver by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.
It comes as no surprise the redshirt senior from Apopka, Fla. earned the honors, as he had his best season in 2012. He recorded 49 receptions, 829 yards and four touchdowns.
Gallon is one of the lone stars from the Rich Rodriguez era that panned out, and he is one of the most unsuspecting standouts despite his four-star ranking coming out of high school. He has definitely over-achieved and has become one of the easiest players to root for on Saturday’s.
The award announces the winner on the Home Depot College Football Awards show Dec. 12 on ESPN.
