There Are Andre Weathers Days to Michigan Football

Waiting for the opening Saturday of college football is agonizing. All we want is 13 weeks of Brent Musberger "pardner" one-liners, the buzz of Michigan Stadium in late November, and jokes about the Bowl Championship Series. Fear not, bleary-eyed traveler. This is a continuing series intended to get through the long, hot summer and back to the glory of football season.

Michigan's defensive power in 1997 was no secret. They had Charles Woodson, fergodsakes.

But on the other side of that defensive secondary sat Andre Weathers, the hero of the final game against Ohio State.

The play at 1:43 in the second video is Weathers putting the dagger into the Buckeye nuts, intercepting a pass from Stanley Jackson and running 43 yards the other way for a touchdown.
