Waiting for the opening Saturday of college football is agonizing. Lloyd Carr's Michigan teams had some incredible talent at nose tackle season after season. Rob Renes's senior year in 1999 was extraordinarily successful, with All American honors, Big Ten first team, and Lombardi Award semifinalist.
