Saturday Open Thread Sits Through One More Boring Weekend

Another boring weekend means that there really isn't much to get excited about, but we're football fans and will watch anyway.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

A game happened last weekend, and nothing more needs to be said about it. Okay? For reals, just leave it alone. It's a new week, and the Wolverines are again playing in prime time. This time...

Michigan at UConn

8:00 p.m. Eastern / ABC

East Hartford, CT

The Huskies suck. Would you like to know more about how terrible even they think they are? Check out Zach's Q&A with the UConn Blog. Anthony explains What We Need to See against the Huskies, while Hollywood Hokester takes a look at This Gameday in History and just how the Wolverines have performed on September 21. Zooby Q. also has another look into what the Twitterverse is saying about the week in college football. Interested in what I had to say about UConn's season? Check out their schedule preview here. I also take a look at what the other B1G teams are doing today.

Elsewhere in the Michigan blogoshpereoverse, Touch the Banner takes a quick look at Saturday night's match-up and has a picture of some nice-looking ladies, which always helps. MGoBlog has a preview of their own, and some film on UConn.

Are there other games being played before 8 p.m.? You betcha. Most are boring, but if you're inclined, check out:

- 3:30 p.m. has Michigan State visiting Notre Dame. Who do you root for? Also at 3:30 is future B1G-er, Maryland, looking to stay perfect against West Virginia. And, Purdue at Wisconsin.

- 7:00 p.m. sees Arizona State trying to screw over the Stanford Cardinal, and Auburn at LSU.

Enjoy the games, and Go Blue!
