Quick Hoops Preview: Michigan at Nebraska

The Wolverines travel to Lincoln to face Nebraska.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

(The Borges/Nussmeier saga has thrown my writing schedule off: here is a quick primer on Nebraska to satiate your hoops needs).

Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-6, 0-2)

Best Win: 60-49 vs. Miami (FL) - The Huskers rolled past a Miami team that was held to just 22 points over the first 30 minutes of game time.

Worst Loss: 87 - 74 vs. UAB - An even game over the first half, UAB blew the doors off Nebraska out of the half and cruised to an easy double-digit win.

Kenpom Vitals:

#91 Ovr ORtg eFG% TO% OR% FTA/FGA
Off. 106.9 47.6 16.1 28.9 44.5
Def. 100.5 48.5 20.0 30.5 50.1

The Huskers aren't an imposing team by any measure, but thus far the statistical profile is a lot kinder than last year's, in which Nebraska was sporting a lot of red on its Kenpom page (that's not a good thing).

Outlook: Kenpom has this as a four point Michigan win.  While Michigan has under performed relative to expectations and is without Mitch McGary, this is still an absolute must win for the Wolverines.
