As we all know, a special game will be played today. The series hasn't gone the way we'd like for the last forever, but there's always a chance. Except for today. Today Michigan stands little chance.
Now that I have you depressed, let's move on to some happy things. Like, um, that one time when Michigan won. Or, uh...that other time something good happened. Remember that? Me, either. I'm so depressed!
We should try to be positive about today's game, but we're all realistic in our incredibly low expectations.
There are some things that we can key on as fans, though, and one of them is the fact that the ground game has always been a huge part of this rivalry. Drew does a great job of detailing the most important stat from this series. Will Michigan be able to take advantage today? Probably not, but stranger things have happened...like Michigan's season being compared to Candy Land.
And that seems as good a place as any to end. So, sit back and do your best to enjoy whatever you can of today's game. Like Shash, you may want to have some regret whiskey on hand. While you've got that whiskey in your hand, comment like this is the most important thread ever, mind the guidelines, and always Go Blue!
Today's tune is on a sad note: Jack Bruce died today at the age of 71. For those of you who don't know who he was, he was a member Cream, which was perhaps the greatest trio in the history of music. He was, and is, one of my idols and he was partially responsible for getting me into playing the bass myself. The Cream catalog is large and any song would do, but here's one that is all Jack. Enjoy.
