How to watch Michigan vs. Rutgers: Preview, TV Schedule and more

Leon Halip

Really, there isn't much for me to say. It's something I keep coming back to. In the face of adversity, the fan base has been incredible - the level of discussion (and passion) that's been on display insures the program has a very healthy future. A program's base starts and ends with its fans, and between the media and the readers, the response to this season has been the very best of a bad situation.

As for the team - the players have been put in a bad situation, but they have also made the most of what they've had. Athletes who dedicate themselves to this game make a lot of sacrifices, and they deserve a drama-free, stable program that helps them become the best they can be. Michigan hasn't been that, and it starts at the top. Really, everything else has been incredible.

How to witness

TV: 7:00 p.m. ET on BTN.

Radio: WWJ, AM Radio 950, Sirius Radio, Channel 113, and XM radio, Channel 195.

Online streaming: Available on BTN2Go and MGoBlue.com.

The numbers

Michigan is 2-3. Rutgers is 4-1. In this case, those numbers say everything you need to know. Michigan's two wins came against teams that are a combined 1-9, with the sole win being Appalachian State's subsequent blowout of (wait for it) the Campbell Fighting Camels. Rutgers has beaten Navy and Washington State, and lost to Penn State.

Two names to know

Dave Brandon and Brady Hoke were hired in part because they were Michigan Men. That should imply a responsibility to the program in times of self-subjected adversity.

A Recommendation

Enjoy a terrific slate of college games all day long, and if that means pulling out your five-year-old, comfortable well-worn pillow even with company over, then do it. Don't mind the tea stains.
