After what was by far the worst college football game any of us have ever seen, we will not be subjected to that kind of torture this week. I still felt it was important enough to notify The Hague, so keep your eyes peeled for a new athletic director, new head coach, and a trial for crimes against humanity.
So, what's happening in the NCAA today?
Noon
No. 8 Ohio State travels to Minneapolis to take on the 25th-ranked Golden Gophers (ABC), while No. 19 Clemson visits No. 22 Georgia Tech in ACC action (ESPN).
Must Reads
3:30
Top Bulldog, Mississippi State, looks to solidify their hold to their number one ranking against Alabama on CBS. The Crimson Tide are hoping that a win today will allow them to sneak into the field of four at the end of the season. Hey, look, the Big Ten has another match-up of ranked teams! No. 16 Nebraska takes a trip to Madtown to face 20th-ranked Wisconsin (ABC).
Later
The rest of the day is relatively snoozerific, but two match-ups that could possibly be interesting to watch will be No. 17 LSU at Arkansas (ESPN2) at 8:00 and the always-great late PAC-12 contest between No. 6 Arizona State and Oregon State (ESPN).
Elsewhere at Michigan
- The hockey team faces off against American International this weekend, and the Wolverines really need a sweep. At 2-5-0, it's not just the football team that is struggling. Tonight's game starts at 7:35 on BTN Plus, which I don't get, so poo.
- On a positive note, basketball starts for real, and Michigan will tip off against Hillsdale at 2:00 this afternoon; you can check that out on ESPN3.
