Shaun Crawford Earns Invite to The Opening
2015 four-star defensive back commit, Shaun Crawford, earned an invite to Nike's football camp called "The Opening" Saturday afternoon after an impressive Nike Combine performance. The Opening is a football camp for the nation's elite high school players. It is a four-day camp consisting of training, coaching and competition.

One of the bigger knocks on Crawford's ability is his height. That argument could be put to rest Saturday afternoon as Steve Lorenz reported that Crawford is currently a half-inch shorter (5-9.5) than 2014 USC signee and five-star defensive back, Adoree Jackson (5-10.)
Needless to say, this is a very valuable experience for the young defensive back.
Michigan Offers Pair of Offensive Lineman
Michigan has extended their first 2017 scholarship offer to offensive lineman Josh Myers, first reported by 247Sports' Steve Lorenz (free.) The coaching staff also offered 2016 OL Liam Eichenberg today as well, first reported by Scout's Sam Webb.
Myers currently holds offers from Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana. Whereas Eichenberg's only other offer is from Ohio State. His recruitment might be an interesting one. It's only a matter of time before he blows up and starts receiving national attention. A recruit who is offered by both Ohio State and Michigan don't often fly under the radar.
Visitors Were Visiting
Though the basketball game didn't exactly go as planned, Michigan hosted a plethora of 2015/2016/2017 talent over the weekend with the main attraction being Sunday's basketball game against Wisconsin. The day finished without excitement and was low-key. Highlights of the visits are included below:

General Odds and Ends
Not to beat a dead topic here, but:
#MichiganState five-star DE commit Malik McDowell tells me he won't take unofficial visits elsewhere. More here: http://t.co/J6uVJavHq7

But wait, there's more!

Well, which one is it? Seriously. Will it ever end? This recruitment has been tugging at the heartstrings of Spartan and Wolverine fans everywhere. At this point, all of this needs to meet it's conclusion. This has to be the strangest recruitments in the history of recruitments, and it's not even close.
An interesting development with 2016 OL offer Thiyo Lukusa has been reported by Lorenz early Sunday evening:
2016 OL Thiyo Lukusa will now visit #Michigan the next two weekends and will be there next Sunday for MSU (VIP): http://t.co/bLBxaSzCzi
— Steve Lorenz (@TremendousUM) February 16, 2014
This appears to be a very good sign for Michigan and something to look out for in the coming weeks. Michigan appears to be in the drivers seat for Lukusa, who is an in-state prospect.
Finally, Lorenz has a great post on 2016 OL commit Erik Swenson and his desires of becoming a class leader ($) like Shane Morris and Michael Ferns were to their recruiting classes.
"It's something I talked to the coaches about today," he said. "I will be after some guys harder going forward. They (coaches) were excited, and even had me take questions from parents of the other kids on campus today to tell them about why I committed to Michigan so early and what made it such an easy decision for me. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting some new people and talking to some of the other recruits that came up today."
