76 Days to Michigan Football

Michigan's 2014 season moves closer to starting.

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Freshman Patrick Kugler, OL

Number: 57

Hometown: Wexler, PA (North Allegheny High)

Height/Weight: 6'5 / 295 lbs.

Three Things to Know About Patrick:

1. He's very strong and has a family of football people: Patrick's Michigan bio lists his bench weight at 300 pounds and his squat weight at 415 pounds. That's a lot. Patrick's father coached the UTEP football team (now a line coach for the Steelers), and his brother, Robert is a tight end at Purdue.

2. The consensus opinion on Kugler from the recruiting world is that he is huge, worked his way to a five star rating, and could play center over Graham Glasgow in the future.

3. Patrick earned an honorary Under Armour All-American jersey, and chose to unveil it at his high school gymnasium. He is also the type who didn't take much wooing to love Ann Arbor, due to growing up in Clarkston, Michigan and having family scattered around the Midwest.
