Michigan Football Recruiting Brief: Wolverines Offer 2015 CB Mook Reynolds

Michigan remains in the hunt for strong defensive backs. UPDATE: Elijah Holyfield, son of Evander, picks up an offer for 2016.

Lately, Michigan's gotten used to recruits changing their minds. However, if Mook Reynolds so desires, Wolverines coach Brady Hoke could be in for a little recruit redemption.

According to reports, Michigan has offered Reynolds, a 4-star corner out Greensboro, N.C. The 5'10," 170-pound Northern Guilford senior-to-be could take the place of Shaun Crawford, who recently committed to Notre Dame, which appears to be in the mix, along with Tennessee, for the VT commit.

According to 247Sports, Reynolds is the No. 25-ranked CB of 2015. Due to great recruiting, Michigan's versatility and power in the secondary has been widely celebrated. Should Reynolds join, the Wolverines would have a trio of 4-star DBs pledged to their 2015 class.

Update: Michigan extended an offer to a son of a champ. Yes, Elijah Holyfield, whose father's ear was bitten by Iron Mike Tyson, has been invited to join the Wolverines' 2016 class, per reports. He's not rated by 247Sports, but Scout.com pegs the 5'11," 190-pounder out of Atlanta Woodward as a 3-star running back.
