2016 4-star Quarterback Messiah deWeaver commits to Michigan

Michigan has been having a recent string of same day commits at the quarterback position. It appears, for now, that the trend will continue in the class of 2016 with 4-star Messiah deWeaver's commitment to Michigan.

Well, that certainly didn't take very long.

After receiving a scholarship offer a few hours earlier Wednesday, 2016 4-star quarterback Messiah deWeaver (Trotwood, OH) confirmed on Twitter that he has committed to the University of Michigan.

deWeaver, a product of Trotwood-Madison high school, joins current quarterback commit Alex Malzone and early enrollee freshman Wilton Speight to commit the same day of receiving a scholarship offer.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, deWeaver is ranked as the 13th pro-style quarterback in the country and is ranked as the 13th best prospect in the state of Ohio. Measuring at six-foot-three and 202-pounds, Scout.com's Derek Young likes what Michigan could potentially be getting.

deWeaver now joins 4-star OL Erik Swenson as the only two commits in the 2016 class.
