Iman Marshall to Visit in July

It's looking more and more like the Michigan Wolverines will be getting an official visit from one of their top cornerback prospects in the 2015 class this summer.

Five-star corner Iman Marshall (Long Beach, CA) will reportedly take an official trip to Ann Arbor in July, according to 247 Sports' Steve Lorenz. ($)

The visit should take place sometime after Nike's The Opening in July, according to the report.

The Wolverines are looking to add another cornerback to the mix in the 2015 class following the decommitment of Shaun Crawford, who is now headed to Notre Dame. At 6-1, 190 pounds, he is a bigger corner with fantastic football instincts.

As is the case with many West Coast prospects, Marshall is going to be tough to pull from the likes of some of the powerhouse programs in that region of the country, such as USC, who appears to be a heavy favorite to land him right now. The 247 Crystal Ball currently has 94 percent of the predictions sending him to the Trojans.

Anything is possible once you can get a prospect on campus, though. We've seen that work both for and against the Wolverines in the past. Landing Marshall would do more than just replace Crawford: It would give them another elite defensive prospect to build their team around on that side of the ball.

Asmar Bilal "Juggling" Michigan and Notre Dame After Visit

Michigan hosted one of their top linebacker targets for the class of 2015 over the weekend as they brought in four-star prospect Asmar Bilal (Indianapolis, IN) for a visit.

This was the first time Bilal had been to campus since he had been offered, and it may not be his last.

The visit reportedly went great, with Bilal stating that Michigan and Notre Dame are neck-and-neck for his services right now. 247's Steve Wiltfong has more on that visit here. ($)

According to Bilal, he would like to make a decision before the fall. Michigan already has one linebacker commit from the state of Indiana in Darrin Kirkland Jr. Pairing the two Indianapolis products would be an ideal scenario for them in the 2015 recruiting cycle.

This decision will come down to Notre Dame and Michigan unless someone else makes up a ton of ground in the near future. Many of the experts are prediction he will end up in South Bend, but I think Michigan has the goods to get it done here. They seem to have regained their mojo on the recruiting trail and adding Bilal would be another strong addition to a very talented class.

Eichenberg Says Notre Dame is His Top School

Five-star offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg (Cleveland, OH) is a name that many programs in the Midwest are trying to get their hands on, and it appears the talented 2016 prospect has a top school on his mind.

Following a camp at Notre Dame over the weekend, Eichenberg named the Fighting Irish as his top school at this point.

The scoop was then confirmed by 247's Steve Lorenz.

Eichenberg is one of Michigan's top 2016 prospects as we stand today. Other programs that have thrown their hats into the ring for him are Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan State and Tennessee.

He will be the subject of yet another recruiting battle among the top programs in the Midwest, with the chance to take this competition for his services nationwide with two more years of high school football.

The Wolverines will have time to make their pitch, as well. As we like to say, time will tell with what happens here.

Josh Imatorbhebhe to Visit This Week

It looks like Michigan will be getting one of their top wide receiver prospects for the class of 2016 sometime this week.

Four-star prospect Josh Imatorbhebhe (Suwanee, GA) will visit on June 24, according 247's Steve Lorenz. ($)

He fits the bill of what the Wolverines are looking for in their wide receivers, as he is a taller target with good speed and solid hands.

Now that the Wolverines have their 2016 quarterback in Messiah deWeaver, look for the offensive focus to shift to playmakers to surround him with. Imatorbhebhe fits that bill, and we will get more of an idea where he is at after his visit to Michigan early this week.

That's it for Monday. Join us again on Wednesday for the latest in Michigan football recruiting news and notes.
