Things to Know About Blake

With an additional year of camps and practices, Blake can work his way to competing for the starting center job. He comes from a football family, with his father a former Notre Dame letter man and a brother enrolled at Penn State. There's also another brother still in high school, and he's in football as well. Depending on how Michigan's offensive needs shift, though, Bars is being coached at left tackle, because he wants playing time no matter what. At his high school, he had the good fortune of working with a former Tennessee Titans line coach...which, wow. The number of schools who offered him during recruitment was pretty impressive, with Clemson, LSU, Penn State, Florida and South Carolina all went after him for a time. The consensus seems to be that with more development, Bars is a lock to be a starter on the line.
