29 Days Until Michigan Football

Less than one month until kickoff.

Gregory Shamus

Junior Mario Ojemudia, Defensive End

Number: 53

Hometown: Harrison High School, Farmington Hills, MI

Height/Weight: 6'3, 251 lbs.

Three Things To Know About Mario

1. Mario was a bit undersized for a defensive end coming out of high school, which split the opinion of some of the recruiting services.  The reason for optimism was his incredible productivity at a position that doesn't usually see gaudy numbers.  Playing on the defensive line Ojemudia tallied 207 tackles and 28 sacks in his final two years of high school.  Those are Madden numbers.

2. Of course, everyone is probably familiar with at least some of Ojemudia's work:

This year he will be playing mostly behind Frank Clark at the WDE position.  With Brennan Beyer and Taco Charlton both shifting over to SDE, Ojemudia will likely get a lot of playing time in rotation along the line.
