There may have been some struggles in the first half, but Michigan was able to find a run game and consistently gave the rock to Maize n Brew's Player of the Week...
Derrick Green
Whether it was his weight or his speed, there had been plenty of questions about Green's future potential with the program. Here we are three weeks into the season, and Green already has 332 yards and three touchdowns; that's an average of 111 yards per game! Two of his TDs came against Miami on Saturday, where he was the featured back, seeing 22 touches for 137 yards and a 6.2 ypc average. If he, or any Michigan back, can continue that kind of output on a weekly basis, this team may actually be okay.
Honorable Mention
-
Jake Butt -- coming off his torn ACL, he saw limited action last week, but put up some great numbers this weekend: three catches, 59 yards, and one beauty of a touchdown, or #Buttdown...

- Amarah Darboh -- the team's leading receiver from Saturday performed admirably in place of the injured Devin Funchess. Maybe he fumbled, and maybe he didn't, but his 88 yards and a touchdown on just six receptions shows that the Michigan passing game can still produce without its best weapon.
- Defense -- Joe Bolden and Jake Ryan combined for 13 tackles and Jourdan Lewis picked off Andrew Hendrix for Michigan's first takeaway of the season. In addition, the defensive unit held Miami to 2-12 on 3rd down conversions and 198 total yards.
