ANN ARBOR -- The class of 2015 saw its first commitment for the first time in a long time on Saturday. It was also the first commitment under Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh's tenure.
Rebuen Jones, a recent Nebraska commit, a three-star defensive end from Lakeland, Florida made his decision official on Twitter while officially visiting campus this weekend. The visit included a trip to the Crisler Center where Michigan basketball will take on Wisconsin, ESPN College GameDay was also in attendance.
"Truly blessed to announce that I am officially committed to the University of Michigan," Jones tweeted on Saturday night.
Jones is ranked a consensus three-star player on all the major recruiting services and is listed as the 102nd-ranked player in his home state of Flordia. According to 247Sports Composite, Jones is ranked as the 44th defensive end in the country.
Jones is the seventh commit for the relatively small 2015 recruiting class.
