Hoops Thread: Michigan at Penn State

Michigan visits Penn State and hopes to hit 2-1 in conference play.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Tuesday, everyone.

There are a few things to take away from last week's collapse, but no matter how you look at it, it all comes down to one word--disheartening.

So tonight's game is against the Penn State Nittany Lions, a team that our very own Drew Hallett has at #11 in his B1G Hoops power rankings. PSU is sitting at 12-3 overall, but 0-2 in the Big Ten. Fouad's preview hits on the fact that Michigan will need to account for D.J. Newbill, and there's a reference to a "holiday" I've never heard of before.

There will be a nice change of pace for tonight's game, as I'll be able to join everyone in watching instead of sitting at my desk and avoiding work. I'm on vacation from my real job for the rest of the week, and I plan on doing absolutely jack if I can get away with it; since the snow and cold have finally hit Madison, it's the perfect week to just sit at home, read a book, and hang out with you. So let's do what we do--comment like this is the most important thread ever, mind the guidelines, and always Go Blue!
