Report: Zak Irvin "May" Play in Season Opener vs. Northern Michigan
Michigan junior wing Zak Irvin has been recovering from a back injury that required surgery in early September, and his return has been up in the air. Irvin sat out Michigan's exhibition against Le Moyne last Friday (Nov. 6), but it wasn't known if he would be back in time for the season opener against Northern Michigan this Friday.
Well, it appears Irvin may be according to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. If he is 100 percent, this would be a big boost for the Wolverines because Irvin is one of the best 15 players in the Big Ten and will open up of the offense for others. I just hope that Michigan isn't rushing him back because his presence shouldn't be needed to beat NMU -- a D-II team.
