U-M Offer: Former 2016 Michigan State Commit

Savages.

Less than a day after Abdul Adams decommitted from the Spartans, Michigan came crawling in and offered him a scholarship.

If Adams elects to remain in the state of Michigan, he'd be the fourth running back commit of the 2016 class, joining four-star Chris Evans, three-star Kiante Enis and three-star Kingston Davis.

Adams is the No. 26 ranked running back in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Oklahoma, Alabama and Maryland appear to be in the lead for a commitment from the three-star recruit.

U-M Offer: Current 2016 Southern Cal Commit

Velus Jones Jr. verbally committed to the Trojans back in April, but has received a collection of offers since the program fired former head coach Steve Sarkisian. Unlike fellow senior recruit Daelin Hayes, who elected to decommit from USC after Sarkisian's release, Jones has remained loyal to the Pac-12 member.

Michigan is the latest team to offer Jones, increasing the list to 15 in total. The Wolverines have two wide receivers in the 2016 class, including four-star Ahmir Mitchell and four-star Brad Hawkins.

Jones, from Saraland (AL), is the No. 64 ranked senior wide receiver in the country and No. 11 in the state of Alabama by Rivals.com.

U-M Offer: Current 2017 Texas Commit

Major Tennison's offer list is in close proximity to his hometown of Bullard (TX), that is until Michigan came calling.

Verbally committing to the Longhorns in mid-October, the three-star tight end obtained his first Big Ten offer from the Wolverines on Thursday, almost two months following his other recent offer from Southern Methodist.

The junior is the No. 12 ranked tight end in the country by Scout.com.

Basketball Team Signs Four 2016 Commits

All four commits from the upcoming 2016 class have signed their letters of intent to join the Michigan basketball team.

The class features point guard Xavier Simpson (Lima, OH / Lima Senior), center Jon Teske (Medina, OH / Medina), center Austin Davis (Onsted, MI / Onsted Community), and shooting guard Ibi Watson (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington Central).

It's the fifth highest ranked recruiting class in the Big Ten, according to the 247Sports, as well as No. 26 in the country.

From a release by the university:

University of Michigan men's basketball head coach John Beilein announced today (Wednesday, Nov. 11) the signings of 6-10 center Austin Davis, 6-0 guard Xavier Simpson, 7-foot center Jon Teske and 6-5 forward Ibi Watson to National Letters of Intent to join the Wolverines for the 2016-17 academic year.

"All four of these young men are a great fit for Michigan Basketball both academically and athletically," said Beilein. "They are hardworking and high achieving kids who come from good families and really love the game. We are excited to see the potential of this class and know they have the capabilities to help us compete and win future Big Ten championships."
