John Beilein and the Michigan Wolverines officially open the 2015-16 college basketball season on Friday evening with a visit from the Northern Michigan Wildcats at Crisler Center.

The Wolverines are a bit banged up coming into this game with Zak Irvin not likely to play, Spike Albrecht with limited minutes while he continues his comeback, and a pair of ankle injuries to Aubrey Dawkins and DJ Wilson.

Michigan is as deep as its been under Beilein this season and it looks like that depth is going to get tested early on this year. We will have to wait it out and see what happens.
