Last week, at least one folk -- SB Nation's Jason Kirk -- slotted Michigan in the Rose Bowl after Michigan State collapsed against Nebraska, thinking that the Wolverines would knock off Ohio State and win the Big Ten. But things have changed just seven days later. While Ohio State took care of Illinois in Champaign with relative ease, winning 28-3, Michigan needed a touchdown on the final play of regulation and a goal-line stand in double overtime to escape with a 48-41 win over Indiana. So Kirk now likes Ohio State's odds to win The Game on November 28th more:
SB Nation: Citrus Bowl vs. LSU
CBS Sports: Citrus Bowl vs. Florida
However, Kirk admitted that he "might flip back and forth again before November 28th."
Both SB Nation and CBS Sports have Michigan in the Citrus Bowl right now because they have three other Big Ten teams in New Year's Six bowls -- Ohio State, Iowa, and Michigan State. If Iowa or Michigan State is dropped from one of those bowls, they could take Michigan's spot in the Citrus Bowl and bump Michigan down to the Outback Bowl.
Of course, if Michigan keeps winning, the Rose Bowl -- and maybe more -- are in sight.
This will be updated once more bowl projections are released.
