Who: Northern Kentucky (2-5)
When: Tuesday, December 15th, at 7:00 p.m. ET (BTN)
Where: Crisler Center -- Ann Arbor, Mich.
This is the second installment of a four-game in stretch in which Michigan doesn't face a team in the KenPom top 250 to close out its non-conference schedule, though Northern Kentucky (#253) will be a stiffer test than Delaware State (#346). The Norse have a post presence in 6-foot-6 center Jalen Billups (14.9 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 2.1 BPG) that could pose problems for Michigan's suspect interior defense, but, overall, they're not near the Wolverines' league. You can read more about Northern Kentucky in my game preview.
The more intriguing storyline will be the return of Derrick Walton, who's missed the last three games with a sprained left ankle. John Beilein confirmed yesterday that Walton won't start against Northern Kentucky but will be available to play. How many minutes will Walton play and how healthy does he look are questions that'll be answered.
What do you expect from Michigan tonight? How will Walton perform? Tell us below!
