The Wolverines are busy on the recruiting trail this weekend, as members of the coaching staff paid visits to some of the top recruits on Michigan's wish-list. Check out the list of visited targets here:
5* DT Rashan Gary, 4* ATH Jordan Fuller
Defensive coordinator DJ Durkin and defensive line coach Greg Mattison got the ball rolling on Monday when they checked in on 2016's number one recruit Rashan Gary and Top100 athlete Jordan Fuller, per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE). Gary is slated to visit Ann Arbor again in January with members of his family, while Michigan is expected to receive one of Fuller's official visits in the near future.
5* TE Isaac Nauta
Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh paid a visit to 2016 five-star tight end Isaac Nauta at IMG Academy (Buford, GA) on Monday, per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE).
Nauta was in attendance at the Big House back in October for the Michigan State game, and all signs pointed to a positive visit.
Georgia is currently in the lead to land his services, however with the recent firing of their head coach, Nauta's decision seems all but certain. Nauta appears to be drawn towards the Wolverines' pro-style offense, with their extensive use of TE Jake Butt this season.
Nauta is currently ranked as the No. 1 TE in the 2016 class.
4* RB Kareem Walker
Following his decommitment from Ohio State, all eyes have been on the No. 1 running back in the nation's next move. On Monday, running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley paid a visit to the athlete, and per Walker's Twitter, it was a success.
4* 2017 CB Lamont Wade
On Monday, Michigan assistant coach Mike Zordich dropped in on 2017 four-star cornerback Lamont Wade. Wade had to forgo his visit to Michigan this past weekend due to his high school's state championship game, per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE).
Wade boasts offers from several programs outside of Michigan, including Ohio State, Penn State, and UCLA, among others.
4* OT Jean Delance
The Wolverines' offensive coordinator Tim Drevno visited four-star offensive tackle Jean Delance on Tuesday, sccording to Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE). Delance was scheduled to visit Ann Arbor this past weekend, however was unable to attend due to his high school's playoff game.
Michigan currently has four 2016 commits on the offensive line, in OTs Ben Bredeson, Devery Hamilton, and Erik Swenson and OG Michael Onwenu.
3* OLB Jonathan Jones
Three-star linebacker Jonathan Jones let Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE) know that DJ Durkin will pay him a visit on Wednesday. He will visit Michigan at some point this month.
Michigan Extends Offer to No. 1 Tight End in 2018 Class
Per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE), the Wolverines have offered the top-ranked tight end in the 2018 class in Zack Kuntz (Camp Hill, PA) following his visit to Ann Arbor over the weekend.
Kuntz also boats offers from Duke, Penn State, and Virginia Tech, among others.
Top150 OL Sets Official Visit to Michigan
According to a Twitter post on Monday night, four-star 2016 offensive tackle Jean Delance (Mesquite, TX) will take his official visit to Ann Arbor on December 12.
Delance sits as the Wolverines' top OL target, alongside OG Terrance Davis (Hyattsville, MD). He is ranked 11th at the OT position per the 247Composite.
The 247 Crystal Ball is currently in favor of Texas receiving Delance's commitment, however anything can happen at this point in regards to his recruitment.
Michigan CB Commit to Take Official Next Weekend
Wolverines 2016 cornerback commit Antwaine Richardson announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he will take his official visit to Ann Arbor next weekend.
Richardson did not play his senior season due to a knee injury, however he stated on Twitter that he is "running and cutting more" and that the knee feels "good."
ICYMI: 4* CB Lavert Hill Decommits from PSU, Michigan Appears to be Favorite
The stage appears to be set for four-star cornerback Lavert Hill to commit to the Wolverines. On Sunday via his Twitter page, Hill (Detroit, MI) announced his decommitment from Penn State.
This hardly came as a surprise, as rumors have been swirling for some time now regarding Hill's interest in other programs. Michigan appears to be the favorite to land Hill's services, as his older brother, Delano Hill, is currently a safety for the Wolverines.
Hill is ranked at No. 11 at the cornerback position in the 2016 cycle and 5th overall in the state of Michigan. He will announce his decision at the US Army All-American Game.
ICYMI: Michigan Grabs Commitment from 4* DT Jordan Elliott
Per his Twitter page on Saturday night, four-star 2016 defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (Houston, TX) has committed to the Wolverines over the Texas Longhorns.
Elliott is ranked as the No. 14 DT in his class.
