New Jersey visitors enjoy their stay
Michigan hosted quite a few prospects this weekend, including a group of 2016 players from New Jersey.
Prospects from the Garden State that were in town include big-time defensive tackle Rashan Gary, four-star wide receivers Ahmir Mitchell and Brad Hawkins and defensive end Ron Johnson. Defensive lineman Corey Bolds, a teammate of Gary's, was also in Ann Arbor and actually pulled in an offer from the Wolverines.

From what I've gathered, it sound like the visit went very well for Gary, who is one of the nation's top prospects and arguably Michigan's top overall target in the 2016 cycle. He has the connection to the Wolverines in Chris Partridge, who is his former high school coach at Paramus Catholic HS. Expect them to use that connection to their advantage all the way to the end here.
It would be premature to call Michigan the leader at this point, but they certainly could be the favorite. Ohio State, Penn State and Alabama have been after him pretty hard, as well, so we'll have to wait this one out and see what happens. All indications are that Gary will take his recruitment to the very end of the process.
Visit updates of the past and future
There were a handful of other notable names on campus this weekend, including four-star defensive end Josh King (Darien, Illinois) and four-star athlete Jamyest Williams (Lawrenceville, Georgia).

Four-star offensive/defensive lineman Michael Onwenu (Detroit, Michigan) was also in Ann Arbor. He plans on returning this weekend for the Spring Game, according to Wolverine247.
Speaking of the Spring Game, another one of the state's top 2016 prospects will be in attendance in four-star wide receiver Donnie Corley (Wyandotte, Michigan), according to 247 Sports' Steve Wiltfong.
Class of 2017 safety Isiah Pryor (Lawrenceville, Georgia) will be making a return trip to Michigan this weekend as well, also according to Wiltfong.
The Spring Game is shaping up to be a huge recruiting event for Michigan. The list of visitors will only continue to grow throughout this week, so be sure to keep it locked in here for the latest on that front.
Michigan extended a few scholarship offers over the weekend, all to 2016 prospects.
Linebacker David Reese (Farmington, Michigan) was offered by Michigan, according to Scout.com's Sam Webb.
Reese is currently committed to Louisville and is a teammate of wide receiver target Desmond Fitzpatrick, who is also committed to the Cardinals.
The other two offers went out to secondary players in three-star prospects Korey Banks (Tyrone, Georgia) and Devin Gil (Hollywood, Florida), the latter of which is currently committed to Miami (FL).
That's it for Monday's roundup. Check back in Wednesday for the latest Michigan football recruiting news and more.
