Sports Recap: One Last Time

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports
Football

Spring break was this week, so everybody got a little time off to relax.

This even included Jim Harbaugh, who took a job in the Bay Area.

Marcus Ray shared his thoughts from the first couple spring practices, and he said Mario Ojemudia, Wilton Speight, and Jourdan Lewis stood out.

Also, congrats to Jordan Kovacs, who signed an extension with Miami.

Softball

Seemingly invincible, Michigan's softball team finally lost a pair of games to Arizona State and #1 Florida, while beating ASU another time and crushing #9 Baylor 11-1 in 5 innings. At 22-3, Michigan is still in good shape.

Hutchins' team now gets almost a week off, having won their last three by a combined 30-4.

Miscellanious

The Big Ten Championships started yesterday in wrestling. It's taking place down in Columbus, and Michigan is sitting behind the Buckeyes entering today's action.

However, there were some standout performances.

Go Iowa, as well, obviously.

Also, here's an obligatory Michigan golf photo. Not to be outdone, Michigan tennis played in Honolulu.

The women's tennis team won over UH, 6-1.

The rowing team also found themselves on the road. Or, well, not exactly.

Michigan hockey just dropped a pair of games to Penn State, which opens the door for none other than Michigan State. The Spartans now lead the conference.

Finally, women's gymnastics dropped a thrilling match to Utah.

Congrats to the women on a tough loss.

That's it for this week. Enjoy the sun, and Go Blue.
