The Wolverines have received a commitment for 2015 from Williamsville, Michigan native and NAHL goaltender Chad Catt.
Catt measures in around 5'10, 190 lbs and has earned a reputation as a hard worker.
Catt spent two years with the Victory Honda U18 program before joining Cedar Rapids of the USHL on a try out. After playing in 12 games and posting a 5-4-2 record, he headed to the NAHL where he played for the next three years between Amarillo, Aberdeen and the Soo Eagles.
Catt's first year with Aberdeen was solid. He posted a 2.18 GAA, .937 SV% and an 18-11-3 record.
In his final NAHL year, Catt posted a .900 SV% with Aberdeen through 22 games and a .920 SV% and a 2.25 GAA in 14 games with the Soo while being named to the NAHL Top Prospects game.
Arriving on campus, Catt will be the lone underclassman goaltender on the roster and will most likely settle in as the 3rd goalie before challenging for the backup spot in later years.
