Tennis
A bit of a regular over the last few years in the Sweet 16, #11 Michigan made it no further than that this year, as the #6 Georgia Bulldogs dispatched Michigan, 4-2.

The team's 26 wins are a program record, and three Michigan players - senior Emina Bektas, freshman Alex Najarian, and junior Ronit Yurovsky - will compete this week in singles and doubles championships. Also:

Softball
Georgia may have dispatched the tennis team, but they'll have a harder go against Hutchins' softball squad, which earned a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament and proceeded to steamroll the other teams in its region. The three-game set against the Bulldogs - schedule for Thursday and a potential double-header on Friday, all of them at home - are the reward for making it this far. If Michigan can lay waste of Georgia, it will be one of eight teams left standing.

Sierra Lawrence stole the show from Sierra Romero, getting 6 RBIs and 4 hits in 12 at-bats. Also, to not take blowout wins for granted, Michigan's 9-1 win over Oakland in six innings, 9-1 beatdown of #19 California in six innings, and 10-3 championship win over Pittsburgh were all spectacular, and just the opposite of the weather they had to work with.

Peruball
Jim Harbaugh spent some time in Peru this week, because why not spend time in Peru? Actually, that doesn't make sense to me, but I'm not the most interesting man in the world.

Canada won the whole thing, by the way, crushing Russia in the final 6-1.
The rowing team had a great performance in the Big Ten championships, coming in second overall:

Overall, the women came in 5th and the men came in 10th, but there were some elite performances. Cindy Ofili defended her 100-meter hurdles title with a personal-best score, and Cody Riffle broke a program record in the shot put.

Finally, baseball suffered some tough losses in some season-ending out-of-conference action, at the hands of #14 Oklahoma State. The Wolverines lost the first two of a three-game set (by a combined 23-7) before salvaging the third, 6-2. The Big Ten tournament starts this week.
