Ahmir Mitchell Makes It Official

Having Bleacher Report produce a video of yourself announcing your verbal commitment is one thing, but filming a scene where you're flying above Atlantic City on an airplane is another.

Ahmir Mitchell has chosen Michigan over Ohio State on Thursday afternoon, moving the Wolverines 2016 commit class to No. 5 overall in the FBS by Rivals.com.

Mitchell is the third recruit from the state of New Jersey to commit to the Wolverines, joining fellow wide receiver Brad Hawkins and defensive end Ron Johnson, both hailing from Camden.

The 6-foot-3, 202 pounder is the sixth ranked athlete in the country by 247Sports as a four-star prospect.

Caleb Kelly Sets Official Visit Dates

2016 outside linebacker Caleb Kelly (Fresno, California) announced on his Twitter account that he'll take his official visit to Michigan for the Sept. 19 game vs. UNLV.

247Sports has the five-star prospect ranked second in the country at his position. Note Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas are the other four set official visits for Kelly.

Public Service Announcement

A reminder that 2016 tight end Naseir Upshur (Philadelphia, PA) will make his verbal commitment on Sept. 1, with Michigan and Florida State as the finalists. 247Sports crystal ball predicts the Seminoles to land the four-star recruit at 85%, with the Wolverines coming in at 6%.
