Michigan quarterback commit Dylan McCaffrey will play in the inaugural Polynesian Bowl game on January 21, 2017. Tua Tagovailoa, who is a quarterback committed to Alabama, will also play in the game.

McCaffrey is ranked as the No. 4 pro-style quarterback in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the 47th-best player in the class and the No. 1 player from Colorado.
Throughout the 2016 season for Valor Christian High School, the quarterback has completed 113-of-176 passes for 1,418 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. McCaffrey has also added 63 carries for 300 yards and six scores.
The game will include 84 senior high school football players of Polynesian descent. Believe it or not, the captains for the game will be Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans) and Ronnie Stanley (Baltimore Ravens). Jack Thompson will coach Team Mariota and Olin Kreutz will coach Team Stanley.
