Playing without Alex Kile, Max Shuart and Nolan De Jong the young Wolverines welcomed the high-powered Terriers of Boston University to Yost for a weekend series.

Playing without their best players Michigan got off to a great start and took advantage of a slow starting BU squad by grabbing two quick power play goals in the first.

The Terriers would push back to even the shot advantage but Hayden Lavigne was dialed in shutting down six BU power plays and stopping all 30 of the shots he faced.

Will Lockwood is looking more like a star every game and he sealed this game with a nasty spin off the wall to shake his defender and drive hard to the net.

Calderone would get his second of the net hitting the empty netter to make it 4-0. The Wolverines played a strong game. They were outshot again but they finished checks and took advantage of their chances.

They’ll finish the series tomorrow at 5:00.
