Elite 2017 CB Closing in on Decision

The nation’s second-ranked cornerback in the 2017 class, Darnay Holmes, will make his college decision on January 7 at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He will then enroll early.

Per Ryan Bartow of Wolverine247 (FREE), Holmes has a few more visits to get under his belt before the big decision. He will travel to Columbus this weekend for the Michigan vs. Ohio State game, and may visit Michigan on December 9. Also in consideration are UCLA, Michigan State, and others. Currently, the 247Composite is in favor of the Bruins landing Holmes.

Update on No. 1 Center Cesar Ruiz

The top-ranked center in the 2017 class, Cesar Ruiz (FL) is closing in on his college decision, which will be announced on December 18. In the article by Adam Friedman of Rivals ($), which you will need a subscription to read in full, Ruiz has high praise for Michigan.

Also in contention are Auburn, Florida, and North Carolina. The 247 Crystal Ball is heavily in favorite of the Wolverines landing Ruiz.

2017 4* DE Sets Sights on Possible Michigan Visit

2017 four-star defensive end Jarez Parks (FL) may make a trip up to Ann Arbor to visit the Wolverines in the near future. According to Ryan Bartow of Wolverine247 (FREE), Parks will visit Florida State this weekend and hopes to make it out to Clemson and Michigan as well before his January 7 announcement.

He sits as the third-ranked DE in the class and 48th overall in the nation.

Former Michigan Commit Offered by MSU

Per Sean Scherer of 247Sports (FREE), former Michigan commit Leonard Taylor (OH) has received an offer from Michigan State. Taylor is a four-star defensive end in the 2018 class.

Taylor committed to the Wolverines back in April, but then reopened his recruitment in August.
