He has offers from James Madison, Michigan, North Carolina State, Old Dominion, Richmond, and William & Mary.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman is one of five captains on Collegiate’s team, which just won a Virginia State Championship.
Speight is the first preferred walk-on commitment in the 2017 class for Michigan. He will look to earn a scholarship in Ann Arbor under coach Jim Harbaugh.
