Michigan dropped out of the Top 25 after Week 4 due to a loss against South Carolina. Along with Michigan, Texas, Michigan State, and Florida State fell out of the AP Poll.
The Wolverines gained 13 votes, but it was not enough to remain in the Top 25. Butler, South Carolina, and Florida are all making their first appearance of the season in the Top 25.
Michigan has a chance to make a statement in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday in a battle against Virginia Tech, who are 5-1 on the season. The Wolverines follow up with Kennesaw State, Texas, and No. 11 UCLA.
