The 6-foot-2, 215-pound athlete from Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey is ranked No. 66 in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the third-best outside linebacker and the No. 1 overall player from the state of New Jersey.
Michigan is the strong favorite for Singleton, who has seen many players from North Jersey join the Wolverines. Jabrill Peppers, Rashan Gary, and Juwann Bushell-Beatty all are graduates of Paramus Catholic, while Michael Dwumfour and Kareem Walker graduated from DePaul Catholic High School in New Jersey. Former Paramus Catholic head coach Chris Partridge is now the Wolverines linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.
“I want to go to a place that will prep me the most for the NFL and the next level,” Singleton said in September. “That’s the same reason why I came [to Paramus Catholic] because I knew they would prepare me for college. That’s the same way I will choose a college, to go to a place where I can play early and where I can play with the best.”
Singleton is set to play in the Under Armour High School All-American Game on January 1st in Orlando, Florida. The linebacker missed all but one game for Paramus Catholic High School with a torn ACL.
