Michigan quarterback commit Dylan McCaffrey led Valor Christian High School to a 30-14 win over Pomona in the Class 5A state championship on Saturday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The 6-foot-5, 195-pound pro-style quarterback threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for a score.
After 14 games in his senior season, McCaffrey completed 204-of-306 (67 percent) passes for 2,796 yards, 31 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He added 107 carries for 579 yards and 10 touchdowns. McCaffrey also caught three passes for 37 yards and a score.
McCaffrey is ranked No. 53 in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports. He is the fourth-best pro-style quarterback and the No. 1 athlete from Colorado.
