Wolverines Gain Fifth 2017 Commit

The Wolverines have their fifth commit in the 2017 class. Per his Twitter page on Monday night, 2017 four-star quarterback Dylan McCaffrey has committed to Michigan. He is the second-ranked pro-style quarterback in the class and sits at No. 2 overall in the state of Colorado.

Michigan wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch was the primary recruiter for McCaffrey.

Elite 2017 LB Decommits from Baylor

Per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 (FREE), former Baylor commit Baron Browning (TX) has reopened his commitment. Browning is the second-ranked outside linebacker in the 2017 class and is fifth overall in the state of Texas.

Michigan may be an option for the five-star athlete. Browning's older brother played under Coach Harbaugh at Stanford and he has spoken very highly of the program in the past. Said Browning of the Wolverines back in December,

"Michigan is an offer I was waiting for," Browning told Wolverine247 at the time. "Coach Mattison actually told me they'd considered me an offered prospect for almost a year, and I didn't even realize it. The fact that my brother played for and has experience with Coach Harbaugh is great too and something that makes them more familiar automatically."

Several schools will be in contention for Browning's services, including Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas.
