Kurt Taylor (Newton, GA) is one of a select few currently committed to Michigan in its 2017 class. Taylor spoke with MnB this week, and made it very clear that he is not to be overlooked.

"I am the most underrated running back in the country," Taylor said. "My goal is to play my freshman year."

Taylor held back nothing when we spoke to him. He made it very clear that he is committed to a storied program like Michigan for a reason. And although, Taylor might be overlooked by some, he thinks he truly is perfect for Michigan.

"I believe that Michigan is the perfect fit for my style of play," he said. "Secondly, when you talk about a Michigan degree, that means a lot."

Taylor is a 3-star by 247 right now, but his stock is definitely rising. Harbaugh seems to have an eye for talent early on, and Taylor's relationship with Harbaugh is top notch.

"Coach Harbaugh is a great and honest man," he said. "He pushes you to your full potential."

Even more than just Harbaugh, Taylor says he just loves this staff as a whole.

"I love a coaching staff that has more of a family atmosphere, and I had that feeling when I visited," he said. "(The coaching staff) makes sure every player is accountable for their actions on and off the field."

When Taylor's teammate, Jeremiah Holloman, decommited from Michigan people were speculating that Taylor could be next. He put those rumors to rest.

"The word speculation is huge. I am a leader not a follower," he said. "I respect every athlete's decision, but when I committed to Michigan, it was the right fit for me. I am happy and sound with my decision."

Taylor says he will continue to recruit for Michigan, and will visit the spring game on April 1st.
