Wednesday Michigan Recruiting Roundup: Michigan Included in Several Top Lists

Michigan Lands in Top 4 for Elite 2017 CB

The Wolverines have cracked the top 4 for five-star 2017 cornerback Stanford Samuels (FL), according to his tweet on Monday. Also rounding out his top list are Florida State, Alabama, and Georgia.

Samuels hails from Flanagan HS, where three other soon-to-be Wolverines attended in LB Devin Bush Jr., LB Devin Gil, and S Josh Metellus. Per Tim Sullivan of Rivals (FREE), Samuels keeps in close contact with these athletes.

Per the 247Composite, Samuels is the 4th-ranked CB in the 2017 class and sits at No. 7 overall in Florida.

Michigan Cracks Top 5 for 2017 3* OL

Per his Twitter page on Monday, 2017 three-star offensive guard Jordan Reid (MI, Cass Tech) has included Michigan in his list of top 5 landing spots. Also in his top 5 are Florida, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee.

Per the 247Composite, Reid is ranked as the 23rd-overall athlete in the state of Michigan. The 247 Crystal Ball is split between the Wolverines and the Spartans. Reid last visited Ann Arbor at the end of March, making that his third visit in one month.

UCLA Commit Includes Michigan in Top List

According to his Twitter page on Monday evening, 2017 four-star defensive end Hunter Echols (CA) listed Michigan in his top 10. Also included in the list were UCLA (where he is committed), Baylor, Notre Dame, and others.

Echols has been committed to UCLA since February. He is the No. 14 DE in the 2017 cycle.

4* 2018 CB Lists Wolverines in Top 10

According to his Twitter profile on Monday, 2018 four-star cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. (FL) lists Michigan as one of his top schools. Check out the tweet:

It is still very early on in the athlete's recruitment process, however Miami (FL) is currently the favorite to land his services, per the 247 Crystal Ball. He sits as the 22nd-overall CB in the 2018 cycle.
