After a strong showing at The Opening, 2018 DE Dorian Hardy has landed five offers in just one week.
But, before all of these came in, actually way before; Michigan was Hardy's very first offer in December of 2015. Hardy is out of St. Joseph Regional HS in New Jersey. Obviously, Michigan's connection with New Jersey is one of, if not thee strongest out of state recruiting connection in the country.
Hardy, the 7th overall WDE in the 247 composite ratings, has a May 20th visit to Michigan set. He spoke to us about the visit and much more.
"I can see myself at Michigan," he said. "I haven't really compared schools yet, but I like Michigan a lot."
Hardy is a big fan of Michigan's brand and development.
"Just the way they breed football players and are able to get them to the next level," Hardy said of why he can sere himself in Ann Arbor. "They are an elite program overall, and one of the best schools in the country for student-athletes."
Hardy is also very fond of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.
"(Harbaugh is a) great coach," he said. "He does whatever he can to get Michigan the top recruits, which can range from a phone call to spending time at their house."
Hardy said he won't be committing anytime soon. With two full years of school left, this will be his first, but likely not his last visit to Michigan. Plus, Hardy is a Jersey kid and Michigan is always in the conversation for the state's top talent, regardless if a war is declared.
